Before working with this small business owner, her office was uninviting and cluttered. The disorganization on her desk and in her paper and computer files was negatively impacting her business, and resulted in wasted time and double-booked appointments. Her storage closet was cluttered with numerous items that did not belong in her office, and she couldn't easily find the information or materials she needed.
After organizing and simplifying computer files, separating and labeling business and personal files, and developing a system for managing receipts, this business owner became much more productive. Once the storage closet was decluttered and the non-essential items were stored in more appropriate locations in her home, she had a renewed sense of energy.
The best part of the decluttering and organizing project is this business owner feels better and is less stressed about working in her home office.

A busy mom starting a new job was overwhelmed by her master bedroom closet. She needed to organize the bedroom closet to simplify getting ready for work. Her closet was cluttered which made selecting outfits a challenge. Clothes that she no longer wore or didn’t fit were mixed in with the clothes she could wear.
In a half-day session, all the items in the closet were sorted into clothes to keep, donations, memorabilia, gifts, documents to shred, and trash. The clothing was arranged so she could see what she owned and put together outfits to wear to work. Memorabilia and gifts were stored together and labeled, making them much more accessible.

This Guest Room had become the dumping ground for clutter in other parts of this home making it impossible for the room to be used for its intended purpose. A guest was scheduled to arrive for an extended stay. This room needed a quick transformation. Once the items in the room were sorted out and put where they belonged, the homeowner easily returned this room to a guest room.
While there was room in this garage for a car, it lacked order and functionality. Since space was not an issue, many unused items simply were in the way, and there was limited hanging storage available for ladders and yard tools. De-cluttering, consolidating the shelves to one wall, containerizing, and providing hanging storage improved the appearance and functionality of this garage tremendously.

Many items, purchased and donated, remained in bags and were not being utilized. The contents of the unlabeled boxes were unknown to most who used this room.
